Our office will NOT be reopening May 19th, the earliest date permitted by the Office of the Public Health Officer. We are aiming to begin seeing urgent patients again Tuesday May 26th and hygiene will resume early June.
Although the announcement for phase of 2 of BC’s Restart Plan was announced last week on May 8th, the College of Dental Surgeons of BC (CDSBC), WorkSafeBC and BC Centre for Disease and Control (BCCDC) only released their separate guidelines for the reopening of dental offices late Friday prior to the long weekend.
Upon review of those significant documents, we are confident that our team can meet or exceed all the requirements outlined and provide dental care in a safe environment.
However, prior to returning to patient care, we are required by WorkSafeBC to develop a formal plan in cooperation with our team and practice the new procedures and scenarios. We are taking a few days to incorporate these changes for the benefit and safety of our team and our patients.
A detailed message will be sent via email and posted on the website regarding the safety procedures and related changes at the office so that you will be informed of what to expect during this transition period.
